No you cannot hook it to the coil with MSD. Only thing I know to tell you is to test in on a car with a conventional distributor, such as GM HEI or Mopar ECU, or breaker points and see if it reads correctly on that
Then go to the MSD site and read everything you can find on adapting tachs, or contact MSD
Also make sure the tach does not have a jumper or switch selecting 2 stroke, or other than 8 cylinders, and that's an assumption...........are you running a 4, 6, 8, V12, ??
