Vent window seal install

Is there a trick or an easy way to install new seals on the vent windows, or do you just have to fight it? Also, what does the glass ride in on the bottom chrome piece? The pivot or whatever it's called?

the ones I have disassembled have a thin rubber type gasket that folds around the glass. I do not know if it is glued in(actually i think the rubber is glued to the vent pivot) -- some times the glass comes out easy sometimes not..
as for the seal-- soapy water should assist in installation, they come out fairly easy when you get the 1st corner loose. Lawrence

Getting it out was easy, trying to jam it back in, not so much!!!!

I looked on youtube, and as suspected, there is no easy way. Just going to have to fight through it.
