Opinions sought on the best way to go about advertising and selling your classic car.
Im not liking what I see with BAT and FB market place, im not sure about
Im going to have the car in a local all day show around end of September, its a bigger show for this area and I was thinking of putting the for sale sign in the window with my number and having some fliers made up that folks could read about the car and what was done to it
Other than that I dont have a clue as to what to do or how to except funds other than cash in my hands
Advise is appreciated

Instagram has several accounts that help you sell classics and one specifically is for classic Mopars. All no charge.

When I am looking to buy a classic car I always look at eBay, that would be my number one place to advertise a classic car for sale. Behind eBay you have Hemmings.com, classiccars.com, autotrader.com, and lower on the tier I would say the forum for the specific vehicle, craigslist, and FB marketplace. Put it up on this forum and see what happens, it's free, doesn't get much better than that...

I never knew about Instagram, thats a good idea
What unnerves me is accepting payment in anything other than cash and since were into the forty thousand range, thats a lot of cash to carry and accept.
The other thing is selling the car to someone who didnt actual lay eyes on the car
In my entire life selling anything I never misrepresented anything I sold no matter what it was and that attitude cost me but in the long run was less aggravation.
Still id want a buyer to have someone look at the car
Letting the car leave the garage without a hundred percent knowing funds are in my bank account is what I worry about.
This is all new to me

About 10 years ago I bought a car off Craigslist that was 800 miles away. After agreeing on a price over the phone, I paid an "inspector" to go look it over. He took 70 photos and a video. He also drove it, then sent me a write up. After seeing all that i decided to buy it and flew to see the car in person.

But before leaving, I contacted my bank to make sure they had cash available at the bank in this smaller town. After seeing the car in person we met at the bank where we traded cash for the title and keys.

Like you, I wouldn't let a car leave my garage without having cash in hand. Above is one way to do it.

And that clinches it. Let the buyer deposit funds in my bank, we walk two blocks down the street to the bank, transfer funds. I will talk to the lady in my bank about this
thanks
