This Valiant Signet has received a lot of time and attention. It has only 91,000 miles since new. Includes fresh paint and interior. This car has the dependable slant 6-cylinder engine and true dual exhaust. Power steering and the 727 automatic transmission. Our research tells us less than 7,000 of this model was made in 1967.This is a very nice not-so-common car.

I think it's a bit high too but i also see thousands of dollars and a bunch of time I wouldn't have to spend on body, paint, interior and trim.

The wife wants me to go look at it but i don't think I will.

Who knows how much mud is under that paint. Cars for sale on those "specialty car" lots are typically given a cheap paint job for lot appeal, and any mechanical or electrical problems are fixed as cheaply as possible or not at all.

I can see where you're coming from demon, but the black n chrome looks darn fine to me! Of course, a clean, stripped down version would just as fine in my eyes. A street/strip terror gets the stripped down, a clean, cruise anywhere driver gets the bling! Lol

Well that explains the high price. I bet its a cheaply done paint job in person. Depending what it's like in person I'd say its worth 3000-5000 grand tops.

It hard to tell from pictures but if the car is as clean as it looks, rust free, and has a decent paint job. You would be stupid to not buy it if you were looking for a Valiant. Here in California a decent paint job would cost $8,000.

Clean Valiant's are bringing some decent money you might be surprised if you try and wait this seller out.

I went to look at this car the other day and actually drove it.

The black and chrome does look good, but up close you can see that whoever painted it black (the car was originally brown) did a decent job, but not a great job. The interior is still brown, and by that I mean not just the upholstery, but also the parts of the interior that get painted (the dash and the doors). IMO, that's sloppy. If you're going to go to the trouble of painting the exterior a new color, you might as well go ahead and paint the interior to match. The engine compartment is black, but I consider that less important than the interior.

The car does drive nice, and accelerates very smoothly.
I didn't like the power steering, though. I drive a '66 Valiant with manual steering, and I like being able to feel the road. The power steering on this '67 Valiant for sale felt way too cushy (it reminded me of the power steering on 1970s GM cars).

It is a '67, and at some point someone must've added the '69 grille. That '69 grille has been painted, by hand it looks like, and up close doesn't look all that great. But that's minor.

And about that dual exhaust manifold: it definitely looks aftermarket, but it is not a Dutra, for those of you slant sixers on the lookout for such things. Having driven it, it is powerful, and as I mentioned above, it accelerates very smoothly. So whoever put in that dual exhaust knew what they were doing, and has kept the engine in good shape over the years, I think.
