Flight line aircraft mechanic crew chief on the RF-4C Phantom's at Zweibrucken Air Base, Germany and then worked the little T-37 Trainers at Mather AFB in California.

Army, 1985-1994. Desert Storm. Also served in Germany. I actually moved there after I got out and worked with the Germans until 1999. U.S. Army Sniper school, Jump School and Air Assualt school.

Almost died in 98, they got me well enough to function and they discharged me in 2000 after 10 great years. Something about not able to deploy me anymore..... Life member of DAV and regular at the VA. Only regret is I could not finish my 20. Would do it again in a second......Well except for the almost dying part hehehehehe.

Now I am a regular guy hoping my brothers and sisters in harms way come home soon.........Praying for yall.....Stay safe!

Hey Gonzo, My Father was A Submariner Sonar-Tech from 1969-1989. Were you on Boomers or Fast Attacks? From what I remember, he was on the Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, and at SubTraFac Charleston, SC. His name is Bill Palmer.
