Hi there,
just come around with a problem driving me mad.
i did search the forum about vibrations but didn´t find anything similar like my problem.
engine is a stock 318 (beside a 340 intake and an 500cfm carb).
some months ago i can reg. some vibrations while slowing down the car and also that the engine was shaking in idle. i noticed that the left engine mount was gone and replaced both left and right mount, but the vibration was still there so i put the car on jackstands and looked at the tranny-mount. doesn´t looked so fine, so i replaced it.
now the vibrations have changed. no they come up when i reached 1300 rpm
if i rev it up a little they gone and come again at about 2200 rpm and so on...
i can notice them whether the car is in Drive or Park - so i don´t think it´s an drivetrain issue...
could it be an timing ignition thing ??
having a look at the balancer i couldn´t see anything worn or bad
thank´s a lot for input
btw. the car is pretty bone stock engine, tranny, drivetrain are never been touched or modified
