I am building my 340 up and would like to change intakes. have holley strip dom. on it know wnat to go vic. 340 or super vic.which one do you guys recommend and why? combo is 71 scamp 344 cu 11.6 comp.eddy rpm heads full ported. putting in 2.08 valve. soild roller .665 lift 258/262 dur. 108 lc installed at 103. 727 trans 4.30 gear 28 tall tire and will try a 26 tall. have a 3800 stall will be changing that too around 4500 to 5000 stall.

dont think there much in the intakes ,h s d has a good name by todays std the super victor may pick up 10 hp max

I have a buddy who has a 69 Dart with a 13to1 comp. 360 with max ported X heads and a Mopar Perf. 620 lift solid cam, victor jr intake and 750 trc carb, shifts the motor at 8500 rpm, Car runs consistent 10.40 et. He put a super victor on because it is suppost to be better at high rpms the car slowed to 10.7 and 10.8, tried changing the tuneup but nothing work . He went back to the victor jr and went back to running 10.40 with no other changes. The super vic might have been to much intake for the cubic inches.

still better with the holley if you wanna have my idea
nut enough cu.in. to run a super victor so ...

I spoke to Ryan at Shady Dell when this came out. I'd think with big cubes maybe, but I wouldn't put that on a 340.
