Had a friend send me this video. Was shot a the now closed Tampa Drags. I use to race there from 1972-1976 when it closed down. This video was a little before my time. It was right next to I-4 interstate that you can see cars going by. It was built on the old Hwy-92 road bed. Track was 66' short of 1/4 mile. My SB 69 Camero would run 12.95 here and 13.07 at Desoto or Twin City Drags. Had a very short shut down area that curved to the right and ended at State rd 579. If you couldn't stop, you crossed 579 and wound up in a Texaco gas station. Today Rooms To Go warehouse sits on what was the dragstrip. Check out the video, back when men leaked testosterone.
