anyone see the original Gone in 60 seconds? Wasn't swaping VINs the plot in that movie, I mean the reason for all those cool chases?

I recently purchased a 67 cuda fastback. The car does not have the vin tag on the drivers door post. The guy I bought it off of did not have the title either. I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere else the vin would be? If not is there anybody that has a vin plate w/ a matching title from a hopeless cause cuda that they would be interested in selling. I have intentions of fixing the car up, but don't want to put any money into it until its under my name.

Look to the right (drivers side) on the radiator mounting bracket. You might need to scuff it up a little but you'll find the vin there. It's on my 67 converttible! Once you get the original vin go to your MV and see if you can get a salvage title. Don't be surprised if it's being used on a registered car, as you can see sometimes they get "swapped".
