Today i cranked the car up and i couldnt put it in gear without it dying our even turning on the lights,signals, and even when you put the brake on it trys to die .I cant seem to under stand the problem.please help with this situation.
voltage regalator problem?

the voltage regulator should have NOTHING to do with idle speed, unless the battery is almost completely dead---- (won't operate the ignition system) otherwise it's an engine problem
Idle/ carb adjustment, vacuum leak, timing, etc.
