hi all.....i'm about to fit up a Vortech V1, S-trim blower in place of the powerdyne currently on my 360.
would like advice on what size pully to run on the head unit to acheive 10-12 psi boost at say 6000rpm. crank pulley is 8".
cheers
My bottom pulley also is 7" and the top one is just under 3".... dunno the exact size, but I seem to remember it being 2.87".... can that be right?
Anyway, it's a Vortech V-1, s-trim, head unit and makes 10 pounds of boost with these pulleys.
In a 3,300 pound A body, it has the capability to run 11.50s @ about 118 mph in a 3,300-ound car, making 445 RWHP on a chassis dyno.
The motor is a basically stock 360 Magnum with a Hughesperformance 214/218 cam (.050>-lift,) with .525" gross lift and 115-degrees of lobe separation. Comp. ratio: 9:1, Stock, dished pistons. Stock, composition head gaskets. 750 Holley and TTI headers.
Idles at 475 rpm and makes 14 inches of mercury for the power brakes at that rpm.
Here are a couple of photos.
I had to make my own mounting "kit." I didn't want it on top of the motor.
Any other questions, just P=M me.
