In the planning operation to stuff my indy 360-1 headed 340 stroker motor into a 96 dakota.

I picked up some hedman 5803 long tube headers.
Now i am wondering about adapters to go from the w2 down to the LA exhaust bolt pattern.

I found the one in the pics that would work but who made those?

I can make my own, but i dont have access to a water jet any more. I can manually do it but free time is limited

I believe Tubular Automotive Headers made those. Their headers were sold under other names like Ed Hamburger. I bought a set from Hamburgers in the 90’s and they came with those adapter plates.

I also have a friend who had modified the Hedman adapter plates to fit the tubular automotive headers to W5 heads so mods can be done. Worse case you may need to weld some of the existing holes and drill/tap them.

Also see Pittsburg racers thread where he is doing something similar as you want to do

No mill, No W2 adapter plates, No problem

Good luck

As you can see once I opened them up for my 360-1 Indy heads there’s no reusing them on Edelbrock heads. And since I run both combos I was forced to buy or make another set.
