I am running stock heads that are lightly ported with 2.03/1.60 valves. The cam is a comp 478 lift with 280 duration. The compression is 10:5:1. The motor screams and has lot of torque. The question is would the 55cc W2 head (1997) vintage would I benefit from this. Are the chamber to small?

Thanks

If you want to run pump gas, then the w2's aren't going to do it if you currently have 10.5 compression.

Going to the 55cc heads from a ~72cc will raise compression by about 20% or about 12.75.

Yeah that is what I thought. The price seemed pretty good too. Thanks

hi, the W2 has no heat crossover passages to heat carb base. cool weather driving will cause icing of the carb. drivability suffers greatly.

The ports on those heads are huge and intake velocity will drop. You would also need to change out your intake and headers.

This would not be a good addition to your present combination. They'd work great on a stroker with 230 or more degrees of duration @ .050 lift though.....

You just can't slap the w2's on and go..you'll need the right rocker arms, intake manifold, headers and with that small of a cam you would'nt be getting all the power your motor can make switching to the w2's..they flow very very well and to get everything out of them they like a good size cam...
