Want to change from 22 in radiator to a 26 in radiator

I have a 1973 Duster I want to put the max cooling package on. Want the bigger radiator to eventually run a big block.
Need help on where to cut and do it right.

Are you sure cutting is req'd ? I think your 22 inch radiator may have filler brackets on both sides so it mounts in the 26 inch opening.

I have the rad. with shroud and fan.

Yes it is required it has a 22in in it now and I want to put in a 26in radiator.

your not reading what he said , your 22" rad is mounted to a pair of filler panels , when you remove the 22 you also remove the 2 flat panels it is bolted too and bolt the 26 in their place simple .

The driver side is the side you need to cut. I changed the driver side radiator mount on my 1973 duster to get the 26" radiator.

How about that. I never would have guessed the factory used 2 different parts there in 73 models. Learn something every day.

Thanks guys I really apreciate the help here. so the panel just unbolts? or do i have to cut it off?
