I'm thinking about buying new tires for my 69 barracuda. I'm thinking about 205/70R14 BFG radial T/A on the front, and 245/60R14 BFG radial T/A on the rear. Anyone have pics if this setup? Or have suggestions? I'm really looking to go wide in the rear. Also, I have a slant six,904 auto, 3:23 rear end.

no pics , but,
I`ve got 205 70 15`s on the front, already wishing I`d gone to 215`s.
275 60 15`s on rear,:coffee2:68 fastback-------bob

A quick reading of the tires you are thinking of using may be in order here...

The first number is the width of the tread measured in millimeters...for the front 205 and the rear 245, rear wider than the front!!

Next is the sidewall height in relation to the tread width measured in percentage....the front being 70% of 205mm and the rear being 60% of 245mm.... Front tire sidewall 143mm, rear 147mm, rear slightly taller!!

Sounds like a good combo!!! Geof

I think so, my only concern now are the 14 inch rims. Should I hunt down some fifteens, or go to 17 from year one

at least 15's not just for looks but for the added selection of rims and tires.

BTW that red barracuda is beautiful :prayer:

It will take a long time to get through them all but there are 131 pages of 2nd. Gen Barracudas here: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=180047 See something you like you can PM the owner for more info. Nothing makes the look of a car more than the wheels and tires. It is also a very expensive addition to your overall look. Good luck! tmm
