Wanted: 4 sp shifter

Hi, I would like to find a 4 speed shifter from a '69 - '70 B body that will fit a '65 - '67 A833 4 speed transmission. I'm putting a new Hemi with the A833 4 speed in a '68 Barracuda Notch. The shifter from a B body will move the shifter farther to the right side in an A body. Thanks. Ray

Hey Ray, I can't help out much with the shifter but I can welcome you to FABO! It's great to see another BOG recruit and customer here. (I still remember telling you about the site that day on the phone heh hehhhhh :-D)

If the transmission is out of a B body, I see home made adapter plates in your future, to position the shifter in the proper location.

A and B shifters bolt to different locations on the tailshaft.

I forgot to mention that the (car) '68 Barracuda will be a center console car.

Fitting the shifter through the console is the hard part. A b-bod shifer wont go through the console in teh correct place.

I was going to make the bottom part and weld a hurst shifter handle to it below the top console boot. I found this diagram made by another fabo member. I would give credit to the person who was kind enough to make the measurements but I dont know who it is. Thanks mystery man.

I'm still looking for an 69 thru 74 for a console four speed shifter for a 68 Barracuda. It's a HEMI car with a A833 transmission.
