so i rebuilt my 2 barrel carter carburator on the 318 in my 73 dart swinger. it is leaking fuel inbetween the tophalf of the carburator that goes over the bowl. inbetween the front two screw holes it is warped pretty bad. aside from getting a new top half is there anything else i could do here? I was thinking of using a peice of marble i have laying around and some fine grit sandpaper to try and shave a bit off to flatten it back out. but i wasent sure how that would effect the plunger. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are on the right track... I doubt it could be straightened.

You could try to fill the warped area with JB weld and file it down or silicon the gap.

It's screwed anyway so no harm done if it doesn't work.
