Was the rear fish swimming in blue?

Does anybody know if the rear upper trunk moulding on a 1966 Barracuda had a painted circle behind the barracuda? I'm thinking it was blue (water), but I cannot find any telltale signs it was ever painted period. The center front grille barracuda has the blue background, so it would make sense the rear emblem is the same.

.....million dollar question is...What is the color code and official name of the that color blue? And is it still available?

And how did they apply the paint? Almost looks like it was "stamped" on rather than sprayed painted.
