Maybe one of the head bolts on a retorque opened up a week spot in the valley.
I had this issue. It turned out to be a crack in the block bridging a head bolt hole to 2 water passages. See here: Water in oil after rebuild - looking for guidance
If it’s cracked anything like the above pictures or around a head bolt hole.Cracked where? Valley? Cylinder?

I would contact the head manufacturer and ASK what their recommendation is for a head gasket.Aluminum heads, Fel Pro 1213. Used Permatex Optimum grey and let it set for a day before filling with water. RTV on both sides.
Ah ha!I removed the water pump bolts, and none of them had sealer on the threads. I put some Teflon paste on and torqued them back down.
When I changed plugs at the beginning of this season there wasn’t anything wet, so I don’t think there’s any water getting in the bores.Oh sorry, misread your post.
I missed the “If”..thought you were confirming it’s cracked.
I had a motor that had weepy head gaskets, coolant was getting in the bores but it still was fine on a compression test.
It may the culprit. We’ll see when I get the intake back on when the new gaskets show up.Ah ha!
Im rooting for ya man, id hate to see you have a cracked block. It may the culprit. We’ll see when I get the intake back on when the new gaskets show up.
This is how much water came out of the oil pan after a couple hours under pressure
You may already be on this path, but you can pull the oil pan and maybe see where about the water is coming from?Redid the intake again, and there’s no chance it’s leaking. I filled the system with water, left the oil drain plug out, and pressurized the system with a coolant pressure tester. I have a steady drip of water out of the drain hole. None of the head bolts are leaking. All that’s left is the timing cover, or the block is cracked.
Yes from all the others I’ve seenare the lower water pump holes surpose to be open to the inside
This is the closest to a “that sucks!!!” button they have on hereWell it’s not the timing cover, intake or heads. No water in the cylinders, not leaking out any bolt holes, just straight to the oil pan. Only one option left and that is the worst it can be.

Sorry to hear. After the fiasco with the cracked converter I thought my drama was done for the year.
