I have a question regarding the water pump on my 318. I noticed there was a small leak of antifreeze along the k-frame. I finally traced the leak. It's coming from the lower/drivers side water pump bolt. While idleing the coolant seeps out then runs down the bracket for the power steering pump and finally drips onto the k-frame. It's a decent leak. Everything else is dry. So my question is, is there anything reccomended to put over the threads of the bolt? Such as permatex or thread locker of some sort? Anything that will keep it from leaking. Im sure there is something out there for this. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have in the past used the white tape to seal up little leaks like that.

Like Rumble said just use something like teflon tape or they have a permatex for threaded connections.

You'll need to run the engine and see if it leas at the cover/block area and/or the pump/cover area. The bolt hole can weep fluid easy. Becareful not to over tighten the bolt.

Yes, teflon tape is what I used.
