Hi everyone,
i have a 64 dart that I have been working on and have a serious bouncing problem with the suspension. Here is what I have. New PST front end, 1.00 torsion bars, super stock rear leafs, seven on the right 6 on the left. KYB shocks all around. This is what I have messed with- monroe chepo shocks, changed leaf springs to set of used 6 leafs, Installed rear sway bar, used .87 torsion bars,Has a bench seat so I took down to upolstry shop and they firmed it up . Here is what i have not tried- Going back to origional 5 leaf rear springs, going back to the slant six bars. Car is a 318 with overdrive 4 speed. When I hit a good size bump on the freeway I feel like the car is launching in the air, likes dukes of hazzard, it does fine if there is a dip in the road but had a trampoline feel, real springy, In one instance I hit myu head on the roof. This is a real problem and preventing this car from being finished, anyone have this experiance or know what to do? Thanks
