All,

I have used WB's before and am installing my FiTech. Their instruction says install the sensor 4" down from the collector. So that means into the exhaust pipe past the pipe/collector joint.
I want mine welded in and can't get the ex pipe pout w/o a lot of hassle on the ground w/ no lift. Plus I have a bend or 2 to worry about as the pipes turn in a some to tuck up nearer the tranny.

Where did you actually place yours? In previous cars I have had one in the end of the header with no issues. The headers are still loose as I just installed my new 367.

Thanks,
Marion

Mine is right after the collector about 10 inches, and they really are not that particular as long as ZERO fresh air can get to the sensor and the sensor sits directly in the hot exhaust stream at an agle that will not allow startup condensation to puddle inside the sensor.
My sensor is for the wide band A/F ratio gauge, but the same rules still apply.

There are these also if the welding part is a pain.

Trail Beast,

My FiTech Kit comes with one of these. So I'm good there, just wanted the bung welded in if possible.

Thanks,
Marion

I hear ya, as I had to weld mine in also since I couldn't allow it to be any other way.
