Another non A body question that could apply to one...
My lockstrip for the windshield was brittle and came out in 100 PCs in my D150. I took the windshield out so I could get at the top row of screws to pull the dash out. I had to cut it, it was also too brittle to fold over and get the windshield out the way it's "supposed to" come out. So I cut the outside lip off all the way around with an x-acto knife and ripped the outer portion off.
I also have a factory slider window from a 92, with it's original weatherstrip that I want to replace the solid back window that's in my truck with, and it's original weatherstrip looks alright but I need the lock strip for it too.
Who's a good source? Is Steele rubber worth the big money? I don't want cheap for the sake of cheap, only to have problems. There used to be a couple of other companies who sold this sort of parts but I forget who they are/were.

I got the front & rear gaskets/weatherstrip for my 69 D200 from Fairchild or Precision, I forget which, but I have used product from both companies & was very happy with their quality. I'm sure Metro or Soft Seal makes good pieces too.

^^^^ Metro and soft seal, both those do pretty good work! Never an issue, and believe it or not, if you shop around, you can save quite a bit of money on the same doggone part number!

if you are going to indy swap meet, call a couple of vendors to see if they are coming and can bring you the w/s. otherwise, they may not bring truck stuff.

I do plan on going to Indy, not sure which day yet. .
And I actually did call DMT about another matter and asked them if they are gonna be there, and they are. I think they carry that sort of stuff.

supposedly they are and i emailed them that i need a bunch of little parts also. i got his trunk w/s for my a body and it is a super nice part.
