I like the no chrome look and wanted to eliminate the moulding around the front and rear windows. What years if any did they not use the chrome strip,I found a picture of what I am looking for and it appears to be a 1970 or 1971, but this is the only one I have seen without it, thanks for any help in advance as I have picked up so much from this site I don't know what I would do with out it.

Just take the crome strip off if you want to. Then take off the clips that hold it on. Should be all you need to do. That crome strip is only a cover. I does not hold the window in or anything like that. It is just cosmetic.

I wanted to eliminate the gap as well but after looking at the pic longer I believe the chrome strip is there but was painted black. I will just have mine powder coated, thanks
