whats the skinny on this intake? of course I've read what the salesmen have to say, i need some legit opinions. would it be a good choice for a street 360? as always, thanks for the advice

im in the planning stage so none of that is set in stone. i just happened to stumble across one of these for cheap. its a 1971 swinger.
 
Kinda of need to know all the other stuff before you pick an intake. It may be good for the right combination of parts, but bad for a different set up.
 
Well it's a single-plane intake so it won't start building power until 3000 RPM or so, definitely requiring steep gears and a high-stall converter. If you're intending to build a street car I'd go with a dual-plane design as those provide much better low-end torque for better gas mileage and more effortless driving.
 
yea ive been doing a bit more research and it sounds like i'm gonna wait for a dual plane. and wait to see what combo i settle on. thanks again
