I know others are running this set up, what advice can you give on set up of this intake
Joe

That,s a cool setup,I,ve never seen one like that.I have a 4bbl. setup on the 66 Dart I just bought which has the lokar linkage and gas peddle. It,s interesting.

WOW, that 4 set up is sweet too! I cant imagine a dual 1bbl set up being very efficient? I had to do it though, I still plan on running the stock exhaust manifold though. I like that it uses the stock pedal linkage and am looking forward to getting it all together. I still have to send the engine out for rebuild and the car will finally make it into the garage this weekend for the sheetmetal circus thats about to hit.

Unfortunately I'll have replaced just about every thing on this car but have learned so much I feel it will be money well spent and in the end another A will be on the road even though it should probably been scrapped!

Congrats. on the rescue,I,m lucky in the body dept. Not gonna touch it this year, though a nicer blue would be nice. It,s just the suspension and brakes I,ve swapped to bbp.Now for the rallys.

WOW thats nice Petty Blue! What year is that? My grandmother had a 65 that I used to detail for her weekely till i joined the Navy in 83......She used to drive it in the summer and drove a jeep overland in the winter. I guess soon after I left the jeep died and she started driving the dart in the winter and the salt got it. just last year she tried to sell it and there was nothing left. I actually thought about driving to michigan to rescue it but had the cuda sitting here and didnt have the room.

And I wouldnt say its a rescue yet! I did get the new firewall in and the passenger frame rail tacked and a new k member after this pic.......I need to get rolling, want to drive it this year!

OK, I'll say it, WOW! But why did they even make that intake?

I'm not to sure, Like I said probably not to efficient....But, Still should be alot of fun!

I did read somewhere this should be able to be modified for 2 bbl without to much effort.

pharmboy, thats what I'm talkin about!! Now do you have an automatic or stick? I'm wondering about the kick down linkage and how that will work?
Joe

That's not my rig...it's a stock photo from pro-line. My setup is still getting 'assembled' It uses two holley-weber progressive 2bbls from a 1.7 ford escort(manual), a linkage kit from langdon's stovebolt(nice people, and knowlegeable). I've already filed off the rotating rod brackets for a cleaner look, and the carb pads have been opened up w/ a 1.5" drill bit twice on each pad for a roughly oval shaped hole. I'm going to have to get some carb pads made for the assembly, and then likely attach a kickdown arm to the linkage rod between the carbs, and use a cable from either Lokar or Bouchillon. I'll get pics tonight of my manifold/carbs/air cleaner.

Hello Yooper, try going to langdons stovebolt-you will find the webers,2bbl adaptors to the 1 bbl, linkage and the air filters. Ill show you mine after you show yours

Thanks, I'll look again, had a bit of trouble navigating there site? It was probably me!

ok just checked out the langdons stovebolt page again, everything looks pretty reasonable actually. Do the 1bbl to 2bbl spacers cause any clearance issues under the hood? Looks like the way to go..........Joe

Oh wowwwwwww, I'd love to dress that bad boy up!!! Sweet score you have there Yooper. Keep us posted on what you do with it.

Thanks Cuda Chick, I may take you up on that. I'm waiting for some parts from waggin and once we complete that transaction I'll be looking to ship you a package with control arms. I'll probably suck it up and have the guy in the area here do the k member when i get it ready due to shipping costs. I'll be callin!!

As far as the 1bbl-2bbl adapters, you may have clearance issues. The easiest solution is really to hog out the carb pads to fit the 2bbls on their own. I ordered a pair of the adapters from langdon, but after seeing the pads could easily get drilled out, I put them up on ebay, and nearly tripled my money. Langdon's does have a reasonably priced linkage kit though, with Heim joints, even. Since the temperature got above freezing today, I'll be able to dig that manifold out of my pickup and get a few pictures of how it looks now, I'm still looking for a few aluminum blocks to make some cleaner mounting pads to go on top of the bored out ones, as well as to add a bit of height...like a baby tunnel ram.

There may be some clearance issue,Langdon wanted to be sure so he asked to call before purchase if I needed help with measuring to be sure they would clear. I did like the raised carbs so I would have cut the hood if necessary. Have fun. Dean
