Finished up installing my intake manifold today. I also got around to measuring my new slicks and the circumference was off by 1/4 inch between the two. So I played around with them for a couple of hours and now have them dead nuts on with the same measurements. Fired up the Duster and ran it up to 190 degrees and the bad news is it’s still smoking a little. Hopefully it burning out of the cylinders and headers but I won’t know that till after my only time trail all weekend on Friday. I’ll finish balancing the slicks tomorrow and get them on the car and hopefully get the car in the trailer. Then Wednesday I can get the motorhome hooked up so I can leave 10-1 on Thursday. I enjoy this 200 mile tow to Norwalk. I sure wish I could work half as fast as I used to.

Intake gaskets for sure needed changed. Like I said before I bought these heads used and damaged for 350.00 around 2007. I ported them around two years later and they have been on three different engines and several rebuilds. Valve guides have to be worn by now but hopefully I can stretch this out till I finish my good set of heads. But I have a couple customers to finish first before I touch those heads again. Had my first contact for some LS work today but I told him October at the earliest.

Oh yeah I remember that, you got some good use out of those. What heads are you working on to go on next ?

A better set of Edelbrock heads with a better valve job and things I’ve learned the past two years. They’re flowing this right now but I have a few more thing to do.

Front and rear bumpers, hood, and trunk. Used to have fiberglass doors but I sold them and put stock doors with wind up windows.
Wow, judging by that my dart is going to be a pig lol.
I wanted to buy a hood, front valance and front bumper until I saw the shipping costs.
I'm probably going revisit a skill I had in my teens and start glassing my own stuff again.
