Welp, I blowed up!

you need to get yourself a fail-safe trans mount and not use that type of old school piece a crap.
That went in when I built the car for cruise nights about 6 years ago. It just got overlooked when I went racing. It won't happen again.

Yeah! In a blaze of glory! And won the championship! Couldnt ask for more. Thats getting the most out of it. I'd hang a piston and rod on the shop wall in rememberance. And maybe hold a little service, have a cold one for the remains. And I dont drink.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I got something in the works that may have me become an a-body guy!

No, actually. The valve broke off at the head. The keepers were still in the stem.

Had that happen once
engine had a miss
didn't do much damage
just stuffed its self in the exhaust port

Yup, looks blowed up to me too... pictures suitable for framing It's always less painful when there's a great victory story to go with it. Good job, congratulations on the championship.

Hate to sell the GTX. But I need to pay for the new one. It would cost too much to get the GTX to where I want to be at the track. I don't have the heart to cut into it anyway.

Great looking cuda. Do you have any numbers on what it runs. Any more details on the motor and trans.

It's a pretty mild build.
Stock stroke 440 .040
Indy 295 heads
Cam is flat tappet .266@ .050 .600 lift
11.5 comp.

I made 1 pass and it shook badly when I hit the brakes.
Needs a new rack.
Car went 10.11 @ 129.74
Should go 9's
