The sending unit on Aaron's 360 from his grandparents' Maxivan has three wire terminals that plug into the van's wiring harness. Since this engine is going into his slanted Duster, there is only one wire in the harness for an oil pressure sending unit from the slant six.

How did you guys that swapped small blocks for slants deal with this issue? Is there a suitable sending unit for the 360 that requires only a single wire?

Yup best to change the sender. Just ask the parts store for whatever is correct for the car. The 3 wire sender may be for a gauge or a warning lamp , possibly/likely both.
You could go to madelectric web pages (I dont have the link handy) and read up on how to use the 3 wire sender if you want to add a low oil warning lamp. Some people do since a gauge doesn't demand attention. But still best to just cahnge the sender in my opinion. The sender from the original engine will work fine so long as it wasn't previously leaking or broken.
