I will be running a manual valve bodied automatic transmission that will be shifted first to second thru a RPM module to an electric solenoid in the shifter. Is this set-up considered "electronics" class?

I think it varies from track and / or sanctioning body.
A local track here would allow a two step , but no delay box.
I think the box is the ultimate deal breaker , but I have seen different interpretations at different tracks.

electronics is like super pro,as a delay box,i have a electric control shifter i use in pro,and belive it might be ok in sportsman,it just goes by the track you go to and there rules and classes

We are an NHRA Division 4 track in Tulsa.
No-E rules - no two step, no delay box, *no transbrake, no air shifter, no electric shift.
you can have a trans brake in the car, but the button cannot be on the steering wheel. the brake can only be used to back the car up.
No-Box - everything goes except no delay box or air shifter/electric shift.
Electronics - anything goes.
