I went to Twist & Shout Records about a year and a half ago to pick up a few albums.

I was looking for Get Color by HEALTH, some fIREHOSE, a replacement for my Dead Milkmen Big Lizard cracked disc and Crystal Castles III.

When I walked into the store, they were playing a secret show in the back.

Needless to say, I flipped out right as I walked in, when I recognized them and they started in on Never Again. That may have been one of the coolest live show experiences I've ever had. I've been a fan of theirs for a while and had some tunes I purchased of theirs from Amazon, up until that point.



I bought one of each of their albums and had them signed. They are some of the friendliest musicians I've ever met.

I'm a firm believer that there is amazing music hiding in all corners of what the world has to offer.

I likes me some bluegrass also, the precursor to country music! Of course since I play in a bluegrass band I'm kinda partial to it, but we have a member here who has a son, "Fiddling Carson Peters", you gotta check this kid out!! He's 10-12 years old, and has been on Leno and the Opry with Ricky Skaggs, he's a great fiddler and singer too! He did a Christmas song with his dad, and sister I think, it was off the charts!! If I can somehow figure out how to post stuff like that, I'll include a few here!!

I love old traditional country (Hank Sr., Jimmy Rodgers, Lefty Frizzell), also all the outlaws of the 70s and 80s, even love some 90s country like Mark Chesnutt, Aaron Tippin, Randy Travis, ect.

But there are still some good ones trying to hang on today like Jamey Johnson, Chris Stapleton and STURGIlL SIMPSON!

I wish I knew how to post YouTube video but if you guys haven't heard STURGIlL Simpson please look him up. Reminds me of Waylon but it still has a modern feel.
