What Do Engines Weigh???

what does a SB weigh from carb to pan compared to a BB carb to pan??

stock internals/iron heads/alum intake/no headers.
 
not sure how it was configured but big block = 690 small block =525

Here's a small list of [approximate] weights for stock engines.
Note most of these are fully dressed engines with stock parts.
We all know the savings to be had with aluminum intakes, ect...
331/354 Hemi with alum. intake and water pump - 504
392 Hemi with alum. intake and water pump ------ 564
Slant 6 ----------------------------------------------525
273-340 ------------------------------------------- 525
360------------------------------------------------- 550
361-400 ------------------------------------------- 620
413-440 ------------------------------------------- 670
426 Street Hemi ----------------------------------- 765
 
I hauled a 318 across the scales minus intake, and carb. It was 476lbs. from what I remember.

All your numbers look good except the slant looks heavy I have one sitting in the trunk of the dipp wish I has scale
