Found a pair of supposeably '69 swinger 340 torsion bars today that are marked on the ends 328 L and 368 R and cannot find out if they indeed belong to a dart. Guy swears he bought them years ago from mopar (early 70's) for a swinger 340 he had but I can't confirm this.

Again they are marked with 328 L and 368 R on the ends and they both have the DCPD logo on them too.

What do these belong too....help!

I don't find them listed in my Mopar Chassis book. How long are they? I wonder if they are even A body bars.

They were just under 36 inches in length. Maybe these were "Hustle Stuff" available parts? THey are definately original chrysler marked parts and he said he ordered them from the dealership back in the day. Hmmm.

i have an old part # listed as 2071628R and 2071629L that are .890 bars but not the #'s you have. what does the other end say?

I will have to check Thursday when I go back over there. I just read the one side. What makes me curious is the most bars in a pair are only one number off ie 628/629 etc. and these are 368/328... I will have to pick his brain again and measure the diameter as well as take a look at the other ends. Hmmmm, I cannot even find anything remotely like the numbers on Google or elsewhere which is odd.

The A-body torsion bar length is 35.8 inches.
From 1960-1965 Abody bars part numbers run from 2071622-3 -2071628-9.

i THINK that left and right were odd and even #'s. odd #'s being the drivers side. if you have both even #'s then something may be wrong.
