What do you call an AMC "Super Ambassador?"

-
At least he had enough sense to put reinforcements in the trunk for that wing

It's ridiculous, but not as bad as those Challenger-Superbird morphodyte bastards.

Someone over at FBBO the other day was referring to "polish on a turd..................."

If that's what AMC would have built if they went racing that's why they didn't.

It's too bad what they did to a cool car that you rarely see anymore...

A bit of trivia if I remember, AMC made a/c standard in the '69 Ambassador, as a selling point against it's competitors.

Yep, Abernathy went away from Romney's (Mitt's dad) very successful strategy of building inexpensive, good quality cars that were out of the main target of the "Big 3."
Abernathy tried to compete with the "Big Boys" and it was ruinous for AMC in both the short and long haul...

Hopefully someone will get it and restore it to it's natural state. I always liked those.

I agree with the consensus,

However I must give the builder high marks for executing the vision...

I.e.,
Looks like the builder grafted a '91-'93 Daytona? front clip onto an Ambasador.

That alone is no small feat. of course the cut lines in the pop up headlamp
doors would mean the car is a day driver only...
