Here's my solution...works well for me.

I while ago I was in chile
One of the people I was staying with had a van with an intermittent starting issue (it sounded like a bad ground or a loose wire)

I offered to have a look at it
When I popped the hood there was a 20 pound rat sitting on the intake, giving me the stink eye

The battery tray was filled with nuts, and the underwood insulation was scratched to pieces

I shooed it off and the van has been running great ever since

sounds like a wood chuck !! you guys might try a 9 1/2 ft. black snake. ain`t seen him in a while tho.

I would think you most likely encountered a coypu

i dont think it was that, that critter has the face of a beaver...what i saw definitely looked like a rat kinda like this but with grey/brown fur instead of blue

I don't think moth balls or any thing for that matter could keep that big of rat away. LOL

i think the only thing that would help there is Holy Water...and maybe some garlic
