What do you think a complete 340 is worth?

I've got a line on two 340 motors, both '72's, both standard bore. #1 is a fully complete engine, disassembled though, down to the original intake and exhaust manifolds. I believe the second engine is a long block. Both have been cleaned and magged @ a reputable shop and are okay. The guy said that engine #1 also had it's original pistons and cylinders mic'd and they checked out to be within tolerances to go back together with the standard bore/original pistons, and also had the original crank polished, and it should be okay with a fresh set of bearings. Both should have "J" heads, but I believe that year isn't 2.02 intake valves, they're a bit smaller......but I think the cranks should be forged.

What do ya'll think these would be worth? I can get them separately.

i've heard it both ways-that all 72 cranks are cast or that some early 72 cranks are forged, not sure how you can tell, I'm sure someone here can tell us!

I had an early 72 'Cuda that was a forged crank. I was thinking it was a
change after mid year. Look at the balancer and it will tell you what is
in the engine.
