what flywheel for a 273 128 tooth. with a 360 bellhousing

-
Didn't the 273s have small hub cranks like the slant sixes ?
273s all have the 2.160" crank flywheel register common to all V-8. The issue with 273s is the smaller torque converter hub pocket in the crank that requires a specific 904 converter with the smaller hub. Putting a 727 behind a 273 would be difficult because of this.

Use a flywheel from a later 318/340
Which is a 10.5 flywheel that's neutral balance.
360/340/318 bellhousing will work fine with a 273. What year car is another story.. wont fit in a 66 or earlier.

360 flywheels will not work, they are external balance.

I just measured the flywheel from my 1965 Dart 273 three speed manual, and it is 11.5" in diameter (excluding the ring gear teeth), while the clutch disc is 10.0".

Did I measure correctly? Where are you guys getting the 10.5" from? Is that a different size FW?

Will a 273 BH from a 833 fit a 360?

Yes, but you will be limited to the 9.5 OD or scalloped 10 OD in clutch. Plus have the flywheel balanced for a 360. Much easier to swap to the more common 10.5 OD clutch and bellhousing. Get the special parts to swap the clutch linkage into an early A.

10.5 inches is diameter of clutch disc used with 130T F.W.
