what goes here? (intake manifold coolant port)

what goes in this hole? it goes into the coolant system, i just dont know what is supposed to go here.
it was 10 below and there was a foot of snow on the ground when i took the intake off of a truck at the junk yard, so i dont remember what i took off.

I don't think any thing goes there just plug it up.

in the second pic,the wire with the orange paint on it gets hooked to the temp sending unit(brass thingie) .and the hole gets a plug installed into it or a good place for aftermarket mechanical water temp gauge

that would be a good place for an electric fan contol sensor
