I bought my '69 Barracuda all apart. I mean literally in a hundred pieces. Minus the title and fender tag. The original vin on dash is present and matches the numbers stamped on the core support. I do know it is a real big block four-speed car. That is all I know. The body had been stripped of paint and any decals. I have some of the original build sheet, but I don't know what to look for. I am hoping it is a 'Cuda and not a Formula S. It did come with a factory tach in the dash. Can anyone help me identify this thing? Thanks!

At this juncture we dont know any more than you do. You havent given us squat to work with. Although it appears to have the S92 optional pine hood prop rod

Wasn't anything performance called the "Cuda" back then???

Low performance was called the "Barracuda"...

If it was originally a big block car, it should be a Cuda....

69 is a one year only thing. You had the standard Barracuda, Formula S option and Cuda option.

No official "Cuda" before 69 and no Formula S after 69. If his car is a factory 383 car it's a Formula S or a Cuda. If it's a factory 440, it's a Cuda.

I only know that it was originally a 383 4 speed car. I will post what sad remnants I have of the build sheet. I am hoping for 'Cuda because I know they are much rarer than the "S" cars.

Ha ha! Yea, fiberglass hood with no springs on the hinges.

You got the vin
BH23P with A53 pkg is formula S 340
BH23H with A53 pkg is formula S 383
BH23P with A56 pkg is Cuda 340
BH23H with A57 pkg is Cuda 383
BH23M with A13 pkg is Cuda 440

Hopefully you have part of the sheet showing the "A" codes. If a real big block it has to be A53 or A57.
If you don't have the "A" codes then there is no real way to prove it is a A57 'cuda package over a A53 formula S.
The only couple of differences are things that can easily be done by anyone.
