as an example. i have seen them sell for 200 for the base and 200 for the lid. i have seen crazy e bay prices at 600 bucks. ive also seen unrestored set-ups go for 200 . 68-71 B Body only IIRC. it just depends on who is selling it, and who is buying it

Are you positive the one you are looking at isn't a reproduction? Every reproduction one I saw had no decals and all but one used one had decals but you could see scratches on it.

I did an eBay search and found one nice used one at $512.05 with the complete decals and plenty of plain cover reproduction units without the decals for $325 new. The $512.05 has had 4 offers and hasn't sold.
In the completed auctions there was a used one for $285.00 and no decals but it didn't make reserve. Another one sold for US $315.99 and it had decals. The most expensive one brought $450.00 and once again it had the decals.

Check to see if the air cleaner is the 440 version. Worth more than the 383 version. The links below show the difference between the two.

Here's a pic of my 440 air grabber 4bbl air cleaner I scored at a local swapmeet a couple of yrs ago for $300. I have since repainted it and added a new reproduction fram filter.

I figured offer 250 and go from there. And I love these and plan on putting it on my dart I think it would look awesome.

I know he might have but he almost took it but I passed on it. It looked much nicer than in the pics looked like the base had been beaten by a hammer. and at what he was askin for it I figure I could just buy a repop.
