A friend is selling his 472 Hemi Ray Barton built. Has dual Holley carbs. March pulley system TTI HEADERS complete motor and 727 with 3500 stall converter reverse valve. It has 600 miles on it. He wants to make his 72 Cuda a daily driver. How do y’all think it’s worth. His receipts total out to 25k. It is complete pullout.

$10.00.
To me.

Pulling out is usually cheaper, after all.

Tell him to buy some 2.74 gears and a 1200 stall converter and that hemi will be plenty of street mannered

He is going to take a hit. Probably 50-75%. There are a lot of high HP motors out there for 10k and under. The fact that it is a hemi helps but....my guess is 12-15k if he can find the right buyer. And a lot depends on what it was built for ? Race motor ?.... Street ?

I have a nice running /6 and 904 for trade if he wants mildmanners.

I believe 12-15 is a reasonable number but I have my doubts about it selling for that much.

It might be worth $12-15k...but be prepared to wait a long time for the right buyer.

Nobody is going to drop that kind of coin quickly for an unknown engine (despite what the seller claims it to be). It will be a long process to find the right buyer for it.

I would be interested in it if the price was reasonable.
