I have asked this question before and was set on 9.5" 4k stall and 4:10 gears and dyno tune. But I had lost my job and had to use some of my savings to take care of bills, anyways I have a new job now. Theoretically as long as I do not get fired or they do not try and cut my hours I make 2.50 an hr more than what i was making and now have mon-fri 10-6 weekends off.

this is all theoretical but I made a budget and if I do things right I will have 8k in savings by Dec 08 and thats getting rid of all my debt but the car loan which i would owe probably 4k or less on at that time.

Hears the thing I want to know what can I have done to my car for 8k, I have been looking at kit from thesuperchargerstore.com, or going with indy 440-ez 1 heads or better, a custom ground scott brown solid roller cam, and the ptc 4k stall and 4:10 gears

I have also been contimplating a 500 stroker backed up with indy heads and etc...

what I want is an 11 second street car the car will be driven on street mostly but if I take it to the track 1-3 times a year I want to be able to run 11's . I have always wanted a low 11 second 10 second car which is all and well but its not for driving around on the street and to car shows 45 miles away

Anyways here is the setup as of now

Weld Chrome Wheels with 4 1/2 bolt circle with 28x10.5 mickey et streets

btw If I dont go too far down the road I will still have around 4k by end of december 07/january 08 and then I have no idea on tax refunds I never factored that in with my savings

I never have had a chance to run it to its full potential I got 3 runs in one night and had a best of 1.9 60' which i could of and was improving on each pass and then car fell on its face in upper rpms, fixed primary float then needle seat gasket tore on secondaries, so night was over.

I talked to scott brown who sent me to scott marrison who does alot of work on the mopars and they both assured me with a good tune its a 12 second car, then they said with a ptc 9.5" stall and 4:10 gears it would run 11s

oh sorry was 13.9 something but like i said car was falling on its face by the 8th and then nosed over shortly after(ran out of fuel). I am pulling valve covers checking out valvetrain, might pull heads check out the pistons see how far down they sit etc... Right now I have planned to redo my fuel system get it setup and tune the carb and have scott do his magic with the car and get it tuned on the chassis

1st run
.6631 on .500 tree
2.3 60' spun tires like a ****
1/8th was 10.30 at 73 mph
1/4 was 15.56 at 93 mph

2nd run getting a little better
.71 light
2.1 60'
8.9 1/8th at 79mph
13.91 at 97 mph

3rd run
.78 light
1.9 60'
8.6 1/8th at 76 mph
14.3 1/4 at 88
8.6 1/8at 76mph

Call Bob at The Supercharger Store and ask him to fix you up with the little D1S kit they sell, you WON'T regret it, check out what their pump gas 440 made, you'd need a very expensive , big inch normally aspirated engine to keep up with that bad boy, and I know which one will be more fun to drive- the blower engine, torque is king

do you think my current setup will support a kit from them or would I have to redo the bottom end and do heads and cam swap like i was looking at doing with a 500ci stroker. B/C If I have to redo my engine to support one of their kits then I know I cant afford it

just change a cam channge ( Bob will tell you what you need) and treating yourself to some Cometic head gaskets would do it I think? Providing you give the motor a good checking over, a leak down test would tell you what you need to know and I would also make sure you check the compression ratio.
If you can swing the extra few bucks get their water injection kit also- it really works and 5 gallons of windshield washer fluid goes a long way!

11's nah with 600HP at the wheels you'll be in the tens with a bit of practice and some tuning- plus you don't have to run a high stall coverter, call PTC and tell they what you're planning and they'll give you a recommendation

I think that combo is close to high 11s with a good tune and the proper gears/Converter and tires.

If you already have a low compression engine in decent shape then you can't beat a supercharger. A force fed engine doesn't have to be built to the extreme a naturally aspirated engine would need to be because it isn't always "on". Additionally you don't need a lot of engine to put an A body in the 11's, but the supercharger would offer you the option of a much milder engine that would be more streetable yet still produce the power you are looking for.
