What to expect after flat tappet lobe failure.

When I was in my teen years working with old farmers , growing up on one for a time... you changed the cam and lifters and then the oil and drove off on your merry way.

Stock cams dont have much lobe, though metal is metal, and how worn before it caught is a factor.
Surface area is stability, though a few grooves in a bearing could be considered as just a different take on full groove ;) haha...
Could be fine, could be just bearings, or the full re machining.
Use your own discretion.
Pull a rod and then after that...a main and see what they look like.
Cams break in and leave metal crap as well, that's why we change the oil after breaking in the cam.

Knowing makes all the difference.
