I had a charcoal canister on my swinger as well. Took it out and pulled the steel tubing out as well. Looks much nicer that way 8)

The amplifier on the fender is for the heat/ AC system. It is like a reserve vaccum canister for holding/moving all the doors in the system. If you remove it, you will have a problem with your heater/AC system going spastic when you are in the middle of a 'Controlled Acceleration Test'.
The other one by the radiator is part of the emissions system. It collects/sucks gas fumes/vapor from the gas tank and burns them in the engine.

If you do remove the amplifier, don't cut the hoses(plug them) and don't throw them away.
They are sorta hard to find in good shape.

heater is probably never gonna get used and the ac is gone. i just want to clean up the engine bay as much as possible. does anyone have a source for vacuum hose diagrams?? im not posotive all my hoses are in the right spots, and it appears the new motors carb might have a few more vacuum ports
