Makes me wonder how good the TF 270s are. My friends 572 Indy aluminum block, TF 270s in a 3100 lb. Car runs 5.78. Heads are bone stock. Wish I had either of your engines.
Nice gains. I tried a few different spacers on my and everything lost power compared to the super sucker 2 inch spacersThat’s the thought. When we made that change to my friends engine on the dyno, and I mean almost identical 572 to this one, it gained 18 hp and 19 ft lbs of torque but gained a substantial average throughout the entire pull. It was pretty crazy to see.
Almost seems like those heads are too small for 572 but it sure runs goodMakes me wonder how good the TF 270s are. My friends 572 Indy aluminum block, TF 270s in a 3100 lb. Car runs 5.78. Heads are bone stock. Wish I had either of your engines.
The trick flow is good stuff. And those are some good numbers. Don’t get me wrong, there are better options for all of us once we start packing 572” but going fast with a smaller head is still possible. I’m curious to see how people make out with the 290 head. I still don’t think it will compare to an Indy -1 head or edelbrock max wedge victor, but we will see what all people get into with it and how much power can be squeezed out of it.Makes me wonder how good the TF 270s are.
