What would this old cam be good for?

It would make your engine sound like a top fuller but unless you had a top fuller to put it in it wouldn't do you much good. lol

Got an old solid flat tappet cam that i found, the cam card specs are

296/300 @ .012"
250/244 @ .050"
.375"/.344" Lobe Lift
.017"/.018" Hot Lash w/1.5 rockers
105 LSA

that would this cam be good for? Seems real weird on the duration and lifts. Its also got a real tight lsa. Would probably sound real wicked at idle.:D

This is a strange one. I think all who say this is a racing cam are on the right track. It's gonna take a bunch of compression for this thing to work. The exhaust side of the cam is weird. All of the roundy-rounds would want more exhaust lift and duration. This is not a short track cam, no bottom end. That's probably why the road racers wouldn't like it, either. Could this be a marine cam?

Here's what i got back from the cam manufacturer.

'That cam was used a lot on 500cfm 2bbl carb circle track engines.'

welp, i think its a pretty useless cam.
