There is a chance that one of the motors would be ready to run, but not likely. I got lucky with a Pick-A-Part 440 20+ years ago, but the price was right (about $150 out the door) and it was very clean inside, so I took a chance. First ran in my old Dart in late '97 and was still running in my son's Dart when we pulled it last year so that he could finally finish the cosmetics. We did change the cam and timing chain around 2000 and pulled the heads for the first time for a look. It still had factory steel head gaskets. Then 10 years ago or so we rebuilt the heads. The short block has still not been apart since it was built at the factory in 1970.
