So a while back, my boss dumped a bunch of tools on me. In th tool dump, we're approximately 65 threading dies and one Rohm chuck.

This is not a sale ad. Repeat, this is not a sale ad.....LOL. I'll start one once I get the "WIW" figured out.
Looks like I have some new OSG Corp stuff made in Japan, some Greenfield/GTD and some MOHR. The latter 2 being mostly used items. Also have a new Rohm 1/4" capacity chuck made in Germany. Some SAE as some metric. I still need to inventory all of it just so I know what I'll be offering up when I do so.
That being said, I don't know a lot about this end of tooling, but did a little looking around today. Found what the new OSG and Rohm stuff sells for, so I think I'm good there.

The bigger questions I have are thus:
1 - What would the used stuff be worth? None seem to be abused.
2 - Opinions on offering as one lot, or break it out into a few lots? Listing each individually would be a pain in the arse.
3 - If I break it into smaller lots, I'd definitely separate the metric from the standard, but should I separate by manufactirer as well?

Appreciate any input and thoughts.

It would depend on whether You possess complete sets within one brand or not. Or how they are separated (large-small/metric-SAE), brand to brand. Good stuff, not sure what they're worth, I only have split-dies in about a dozen sizes. Most smaller (1/2"& down), nice to control the H tolerance, (or D, mm). Worth a few easy to those that'll use 'em.

Me, I would sell the whole lot on eBay, all of the dies I see here are for cutting new threads, not so liked in the automotive world. Now if you had some hex shaped dies or octagon shape I would be kind of interested in.....

If they are not a complete set and just random dies they are still worth something to the right person
Someone will recognise their value and buy them at the right price, if that right person see's them
Id think 50 cents on the dollar provided they are new

I was leaning towards that as well. And maybe 30 cents on the dollar for the used ones, even if they are complete sets. Hope to get time during lunch today 9r tomorrow to get them all inventoried.

Thanks for the insight, folks.
