whats the diameter of an A body clutch fan

17" I believe for a small block. Let me look around to make sure.
 
Yep 17" for both 6's and 18" for 318 and 340.
 
Damn. I got a fan off a mid 80s fifth ave. Its 20" looked a littlebm big to begin with.

Any suggestions. Anything else out there with an 18" fan i can use. Or could i clip the tips and make it smaller diameter. Id like to put a factory shroud back on too. Dont currently have one.
 
I've seen where guys would use masking tape of the needed width to mark the cut line on the blade tips.
Keeps the fan in balance if blades are all cut the same.
