Whats the difference in gas tanks????

What is the difference in the 70 to 71 Duster gas tanks?? Seems like I could get a 71-76 Duster tank fairly reasonable and the 70 there is never any negotiating on. I've got and electric pump for the tank. Will the newer one work?? Why the difference? Anyone know???

only difference between certian years was extra tubes for polution crap.. not sure if thats the problem your running into or not though.

I just got one, supposedly to fit 71-76, and there's only one extra nipple right above the sender mount, for a vent. There's different sized tanks, I believe a 15 gallon was put in some of the /6 cars, but no clue on years. Other than that I believe they should all be interchangeable.

theres a few different versions of the 71 and up tank. Only difference being the number and placement of the vents.
